New Kickstarter - The Southlands!
over 3 years ago – Wed, Dec 23, 2020 at 08:00:19 PM

Hello Backers!

Have you been enjoying the world of Midgard? Are you hungry for more? We are currently running a Kickstarter to bring the Southlands of Midgard to life in 5th Edition!

For those familiar with our older Pathfinder Southlands release, this Kickstarter has plenty of new system-independent material for you! The City of Cats holds a gazetteer of Per-Bastet, including loads of new NPCs, adventure hooks, and miniature plots within each district. The Southlands Worldbook updates the timeline to be in-line with the Midgard Worldbook’s timeline (which includes small and large changes, from changes in local leadership to previously closed-off nations opening their borders to foreign merchants), expands on the gnolls and tosculi (they each get a full chapter’s worth of content!), features tons of new adventure locales and hooks, and includes a unified Southlands timeline. See the posts from Basheer Ghouse, Richard Green, and Kelly Pawlik to check out some of the new content.

For those new to the Southlands or who have only seen it through its chapter in the Midgard Worldbook, the Southlands is a campaign setting featuring a standalone continent full of high adventure in dangerous jungles, pirate-infested waters, desert cities ruled by reborn god-kings and god-queens, hives full of the wasp-like tosculi people, lands claimed by powerful gnolls, and so much more!

If that wasn’t enough, we’re including companion books in the Southlands Kickstarter: the Southlands Player’s Guide, which holds many new races, backgrounds, subclasses, and magic all perfect for creating a 5th Edition character native to the Southlands, and the City of Cats, a hardcover volume featuring a gazetteer of Per-Bastet and three 5th Edition adventures from levels 1-5. ALSO! Backers at $25 or more get up to 10 PDF-only rewards we’re unlocking as things go along. Some of these extra PDFs are miniature adventures set in the Southlands and others expand on cults or magic within the Southlands.

Greetings from the Underworld!
almost 5 years ago – Mon, May 13, 2019 at 09:58:46 PM

Thank you for your support on the Midgard Kickstarter. We’re reaching out to let you know about our latest Kickstarter: Empire of the Ghouls, a Midgard classic that also ports well to any homebrew with an underdark and undead presence.

Empire of the Ghouls is a new campaign from levels 1 to 13 that includes new undead magic, a detailed tour of the Ghoul Empire, new monsters, and unforgettable villains. The Kickstarter campaign also has a new Underworld Player’s Guide full of options for playing Underworld races such as derro and drow, and it includes a new Lairs book full of short, stand-alone encounters set in the dark reaches of the Underworld, but not part of the core campaign.

Almost 20 stretch goals have been unlocked so far!

If facing off against the ghoul uprising sounds like a good time to you and your players, please check out the Kickstarter today

Happy spelunking!

Midgard Digital Map Released
about 6 years ago – Sun, Apr 01, 2018 at 02:09:05 AM

As we are closing out our month of shipping and fulfillment, we come to the last item on the docket: the Midgard digital map

This early beta of the digital map combines Anna Meyer's cartography with some digital tools, which already make the beta version pretty amazing. You can easily search for towns and for categories (try typing "Ruins" into the filter), and it also zooms rather nicely. Unlike the old Midgard Atlas on the iPad, we're not dependent on any particular platform.

Best of all, we expect to continue adding features to the Midgard digital map over time, with at least one additional feature rolling out in April, and possibly some wild additional features hitting this summer. We'll announce the upgrades here; thanks to all the backers who made it possible!

Happy gaming,

Wolfgang, Anna, John, Chris, and the Kobold crew
