Midgard Books Start to Ship

Stacks and Stacks of Packages!
Wonderful news! Late on Friday we got the final needed components to pack out rewards for the Midgard Dark Roads and Deep Magic project.
All weekend, the shipping team put together rolled poster maps, stacks of Worldbooks, Heroes Handbooks, Player's Guides, adventures, GM Screens/character sheets, and posters. All told, the team went through about 20 rolls of packing tape, not to mention cardboard, bubblewrap, a river of coffee and milkshakes, plus postage to points around the world.
The first wave of books is shipping today, with the Monday mail! We're excited, proud, and extremely pleased to get these out to you.
We did not get every package packed. A few books remain to be picked, packed, and sent: most notably, these include all the handbound leather volumes (they always take longer, but we should have them next week around the 20th, so in the mail this month for sure). Some Pathfinder packages are not out yet, and also the most complex orders (the ones with a lot of add-ons). However, the crew will continue to work on completing those rewards this week.
ETA: All backers should see their books by March 31, and for most US backers packages should be in hand by March 19.
PDF Releases: The final, heavily crosslinked PDFs for Worldbook, MHH, and MPG were due to the Kobold crew on Friday night. They did not arrive as expected, and we're following up on that with our PDF guru. We'll release these files as soon as we have them and have confirmed they work as expected.

Free Midgard Audio Collection Samples

We're in the final stretch toward shipping this project's books, which means we can take a breather (because the books are on ships and trucks) and point out some cool things that other groups are doing. One of the coolest for both online and in-person games is the Midgard Audio Collection Kickstarter by Plate Mail Games.
Both tracks include an MP3 and Flac file. These tracks will be part of the collection as bonus tracks, and they really give you a great sense of the atmosphere for two iconic Midgard locations.
If you like what you hear (and those tracks will see play in the Kobold warrens), pledge for a swarm of great, professionally-crafted RPG tracks that you can use right away, whether your campaign starts in Zobeck, the Northlands, or the sunny South!

So Many Books!
Whoa! January was a month of absolutely amazing production, thanks to the editorial and layout crew of Marc, Michele, Blaine, Erich, and Steve! The Midgard Worldbook, Heroes Handbook, and many of the smaller books are locked down. The pressfolk are burning plates and slinging ink starting this week, then going to bindery by mid-February.

The kobolds are happy to report that the Midgard Heroes Handbook and the Midgard Worldbook files have both gone to the press! This means we'll see printer's proofs and galleys, and then go to printing and bindery.
Also, we're locking down the BackerKit survey tonight, so if you have changes (address or other), now's the time. Credit card charges will likely go over the weekend.
